The Audit-Ready Guarantee, our Assurance, is a limited, prorated refund of the subscription fees you actually paid. It is not insurance, an indemnity, or a guarantee of any audit or regulatory outcome. This page is a plain-English summary; the binding language lives in our Terms of Service and Master Services Agreement, which control.
What it covers
If a regulator issues a documented adverse finding, such as an HHS or OCR enforcement finding, civil monetary penalty, or audit deficiency, that a competent investigation determines was directly and proximately caused by Honest Comply's material failure to deliver the Services as described, we refund the subscription fees you actually paid.
How the refund is calculated
The refund is prorated to your actual paid tenure, with a floor of the fees you actually paid and a ceiling of twelve months of subscription fees. A practice three months in recovers up to three months of fees; a practice fourteen months in recovers no more than the most recent twelve months. Up to $3,588 on Defender ($299 per month) and up to $5,388 on Defender Pro ($449 per month). The cap scales with the fees you paid, not with the size of the finding. We do not refund amounts you did not actually pay, such as discounted, waived, or comped months.
Your part: the conditions
The Assurance is conditioned on your performance. You keep a current, complete, and active staff roster, and you ensure your workforce completes the training we assign. The Assurance is void for any failure caused by a stale or incomplete roster, omitted workforce members, or staff who did not finish assigned training. The platform tracks roster and training status for you.
How to claim
Submit a written claim within thirty (30) days of receiving the official government notice, provide a complete copy of that notice and supporting documentation, keep your account in good standing with all fees paid, and cooperate with our review. The refund described here is your sole and exclusive remedy for any failure of the Services.

Honest Comply is a software platform, not a law firm or an insurer. We do not provide legal advice and we do not guarantee that you will pass an audit or avoid any penalty. The Assurance is not insurance, an indemnity, or a legal-defense undertaking. Any regulatory penalty itself remains the practice's responsibility by statute.
